The Challenge

Holy Bones had been selling through word-of-mouth and social posts, which works fine inside a small circle but caps how far the brand can reach. To grow beyond Adelyn's immediate network, Holy Bones needed a real storefront people outside that circle could trust at first glance — one that handled product browsing, the local-pickup and shipping logistics, and the mission story behind the brand all in one place. This was Holy Bones' first real web presence, so the site had to do that work on its own without any existing pages to lean on.

The Approach

  • Bold, vibrant brand identity — playful gradients and warm typography match the handmade, personal nature of the products and help the site stand out next to template-feeling Etsy storefronts.
  • Mobile-first browsing — most pet-product buyers shop from a phone, so product imagery, the Shop CTA, and the navigation are all designed for thumb reach first.
  • Clear product range — treats, toys, and apparel/accessories each get their own visible space so first-time visitors immediately understand what's for sale instead of having to dig.
  • Mission baked into the header — "every purchase helps support Adelyn and her service dog in training" is the first thing visitors see, not buried inside an About page, because that mission is part of why people buy from Holy Bones in the first place.
  • Pickup & shipping clarity — Saint Albans local-pickup and ship-by-request are stated up front so both local buyers and out-of-area buyers know what to expect before they reach checkout questions.

The Result

Holy Bones now has a credible web home Adelyn can share with new buyers, social followers, and local pet shops. The brand story is front-and-center, the product range is easy to scan, and orders no longer have to start with a DM conversation — the site does the introducing for her.

“I absolutely love the new site! The design looks fantastic and it’s so easy to use. It’s definitely going to make a big difference in how I get through to my buyers. I’m really happy with how it turned out!”

— Adelyn, owner of Holy Bones (Teays Valley, WV)
